Hi all,
we have a problem with WM6 and ActiveSync via Direct Push Technology
from Exchange.
We have this Hard- and Software:
Mobile Phone ASUS P750 mit Windows Mobile 6 (CE OS 5.2.1623 (Build
18129.0.4.5))
ActiveSync 4.5
Direct Push with Exchange Server 2003 SP2 and ISA
Server 2004 SP2.
Every 2-3 days comes this error on the mobile phone:
There has been a change made on your server that requires you to re-
synchronize all items on your device. All changes made since your
last
successful sync will be lost. Do you wish to continue?
Support code 0x80883001
WM5 mobile phones are not having this problem.
Hardwareresets are not solving the problem.
Just any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Is your configuration using a locally signed cert? Did you configure ISA
Server to the longer timeout?

Hi Chris,
yes, its a locally certificate from the Exchange Server and the RootCA
in our LAN.
The timeout is set to a longer time too.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Are all the Windows Mobile 6 devices the same? Does it occur when a user
with a WM5 phone upgrades?

Hi Chris,
we have only one WM6 device. The error does not occur when the same
user
uses a WM5 device.
I think itīs a new Microsoft problem with WM6 or with ActiveSync?
More ideas?
Thanks, Anastasia |

I have exactly the same problem and if you put the error code into google,
you will se we are not alone.
MS do not seem to have a fix, the phone suppliers and network operators
can't help either - my only advice is stay with WM5 for the time being.

Hi,
What device is the WM6 device? It could be a specific brand and model.
Other users have reported the same problem with a HTC device.

Hi,
Did you call Asus and ask them for assistance? How about Microsoft?
Unfortunately I cannot think of the cause.

Hi Chris,
I donīt think that this is a problem by the manufacturer of the phone,
I think
itīs a problem of Microsoft, but i didnīt ask them for help.
In other forum there are many people who have the same problem, but no
solution.

I also have the same problem with an AT&T Tilt by HTC, in just connecting to
my personal laptop (WinXP Pro) with Outlook 2007. I unfortunately have 2338
Contacts, and a large number of future calendar items. I experience this at
least one time a day for a loss of about 20minutes = I'm on WM6 (no choice)
CE OS 5.2.1620 Build 18125.0.4.2
I guess it's time to resurrect my blackberry.

And I have the same problem with a new Samsung i760, which is running WM6 and
syncing with Microsoft Outlook 2003. It is extremely painful to sync and lose
all changes made since the last successful sync, and clearly many users are
suffering this difficulty. I hope Microsoft will take this seriously and
publish a fix.
