When I listen to audio on my Samsung SCH-i760 PPC phone using Media Player
(version 10.3 build 17233) and I turn off the screen, the audio continues to
play but none of the hardware buttons work (pause, volume up or down, etc.)
until I turn the screen back on. On my old Dell X5, turning off the screen
didn’t affect the functioning of the hardware buttons. Is there a way to get
the buttons to work even when the screen is off?

Thanks!

I had a lot of problems w/my i760 and finally returned it. Besides the Media
Player problems, some of the software I use a lot crashed all the time. I
switched from Verizon to Sprint and got the HTC Touch. GREAT device and NONE
of the problems I saw with the i760. The buttons work as they should when the
screen is turned off.
