I have Windows Vista SP1 (RTM version), SBS 2003 SP1 and Motorola Q9h with
WM6.

When I try to enter the exchange server setting in WMDC (v6.1), I get an
error: 'Server could not be reached'. I am not using SSL: for now as I just
want to get connected first. If I accept the settings anyway, I get a 'The
server could not be reached. Please verify the server name' (Support code
0x80072EE7) error on my Smartphone when connected by USB. If I connect
wirelessly I get the message: 'Your account in Microsoft Exchange Server
does not have permission to synchronise with your current settings.'
(Support code: 0x85010004).

OWA works fine using the same server name that I input into the WMDC. I can
access web sites on the server from my USB connected Smartphone using the
server name.

I have looked extensively for clues to fix this. All the settings on the
server are as they should be including authorisation settings of the virtual
exchange directories. The user does have permission to use Mobile access.

Have tried switching off firewall and anti-virus on my Vista machine but
that makes no difference.

Many thanks yous to anyone who can help!!

Robert

Mobile Outlook can't connect to Exchange Server over-the-air We are using a non-standard port for SSL on our exchange server. When I try to set up a Windows Mobile device to do email push, the device can't connect. I think this is probably due to SSL not using TCP port 443 on the exchange server. Anyone out there

Activesync and Exchange Server Hi How well does Activesync 4.5 and Windows Mobile 6.0 work with SBS 2003 with Exchange Service Pack 2? I am considering upgrading my Palm Pocket PC device to Activesync 4.5 and Windows Mobile 6.0. Regards Dominic

Sync existing PDA with new Exchange Server I have had my Cingular 8525 for a number of months now, but we've gotten Exchange Server up and running at work. What is the preferred method for syncing? Do I still sync with my desktop when I'm at it and that sync over the air when I'm out on the road?

problem syncing with exchange server running As 4.5, I get error 85010016 (proxy server). Is there a setting somewhere that tells AS to bypass the proxy server? THis didn't happen with AS 4.2
