I have a Dell Axim X51v and I have never had any problems using Internet
Explorer to surf the web with it until recently.

I can connect to various wireless networks with no problem and using the
ping utility can ping intranet and internet IP address.

When entering IP addresses within IE instead of domain names, I still cannot
veiw the website. I get the same invalid address message.

Within the "Connection" -> "Network Management" settings I have tried
various options, but they all have the "This network connects to the
Internet" checked on the proxy settings. Unchecking it makes no difference.

I have cleared all the temporary internet files and history. I have soft
reset it several times by pushing the button on the back.

Nothing I try seems to allow me to veiw a web page. Suggestions???

Sounds silly, but I have that prob when I either change locations (and don't
use flight mode), or a thunderstorm knocks out my wireless and then it
restarts... I just use that reset hole/button on the back.... I would
suggest you give a reset a try.... Heck, shouldn't hurt anything, and may
just fix it....
