Hi,
I have just browsed the old posts here but not found any answers. If
anyone could help i would be grateful....

I have a HP Ipaq running Windows Mobile 5. I would like connect it to
my wifi network using WPA-PSK and TKIP. My Mac and PC both connect
easily, but the PDA refuses to join the network

The Airport has DHCP enabled and MAC filtering turned off.

I know the wifi card in the PDA is ok because it will connect to a
friends WEP protected network on the first attempt.

If any one has any ideas it would be great.

Cheers

Tim

Most iPAQ will not work with WPA, but WEP only..... Set your net temp to
wep, and try it.... IF it works okay then, you know what the problem is...

Hi,

I think it is a general problem of Windows Mobile 5.0. The case is the same
with my devices: AIRIS T620 PDA and SMCWBR14T-G EU router. I use MAC
filtering but I tried also with disabled MAC filtering, name broadcast.
So I think the problem is independent from the device type.

If somebody could send the resolution than please do it.

I have an iPaq 2790 which connects via WPA. Problem is that WM5 as
shipped by HP does not support AUK3 (Microsft update that included WPA
support). You will need the Odysey Client software to get WPA support.
That was shipped with the iPaq.
