Are you using Outlook as your email client? I assume you already have all
your contacts, calendar and tasks in outlook. And the sync releationship has
been made. With your device selected click Tools>Options and make sure
Contacts Calendar and Tasks have a check mark.

I'm not using outlook for emails. I want to be able to sync my blackphone and
have the information saved on outlook. I believe I have to setup outlook to
sync with my phone

yes you need to get your email setting from your internet provider and
configure outlook add your contacts and everything you want to sync. Then
establish the relationship with Active sync between your blackjack and
outlook.
