Media Player 10 Mobile problem

I've scoured the web and although I get many a hits, it still does not give
me a clue to what happened and how to fix. I use to be able to click on
Alarm1 (or any other sound file) in the windows folder (WM5, At&t (Cingular)
8125 (HTC-Wizard)) and Media Player 10 would play it, now I get this error:
"No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make connction".
Whats up with this?? I only downloaded new ringtones in MP3 and WMA format.
Can anyone help?
