My wife and I both have Ipaq 2215 devices, which have worked very well and
lasted us quite a while. Unfortunately, her device seems to be
malfunctioning now, and so I need to catch up on current technology. Can
anyone point me to a list of "current" devices, preferably with reviews? I
know to check the HP website and have heard about HTC, but not sure what
else is out there that should be on our list of brands/devices to review.

Phone hardware is optional (we don't plan to associate a phone service with
the device at this time).
WiFi is highly desired
GPS is highly desired
Ability to use SD and SDHC highly desired
Running the current (Mobile 6?) MS OS

Thanks,
Keith

I just looked at the current list of Ipaqs, and they don't seem to be what
we'd want. The HTC Tytn 2 looks interesting, but expensive and apparently
has video issues.

Changes to my list below:
------------------------------------------
* While I'd like to be able to keep using SD cards, I'm ok with going to
microSD (microSDHC)
* I'd like a screen the same size as the 2215 (or larger), so smartphones
with tiny screens are out
* It would be nice to have a camera in the device, just for convenience.
* the software keyboard on the 2215 is fine; if a new device only has a
hardware keyboard then I'd like a qwerty-style keyboard that is actually
usable (not like the phones I've seen with 3 letters per key)
* the ability to plug in headphones is highly desirable (to use the device
as an MP3 player without disturbing others)- not limited to bluetooth
headsets (although I imagine most devices also come with bluetooth)

Thanks!
