Hi, anybody knows How to sync Pocket informant v8.0 data in SD card,
because this software put the data in ROM of my pocket PC (hx4705). I
did see many programs to sync (mobsync, mighthy sync, etc.) that I see
syncronize documents or any folder in to SD card, but I don´t know if
works with Pocket informant to sync the data of this program in SD.
I don't know if I explain correctly, but thans in advance for any
answer and excuse me my poor English.
-------------
buenos días, he actualizado mi pocket informant a la version 8, y
No sé si me expliqué correctamente ??

tarjeta.

Don't apologize for your English. It is way better than my command of any
other language. Don't know what Donald said, but Pocket Informant can't
really be made to store to the SD card. It is not really storing anything,
but rather providing greater capability to manipulate and view the standard
PIM data on the device. That data is still syncing between desktop Outlook,
and the Outlook components on the mobile device, and it is fixed within main
memory files.

Sven, I said that with my T-Mobile Wing, PI works just fine from the SD
card. I decided to put it there because of the memory constraints of the
device because someone in another group had suggested it would work and much
to my surprise, it does. However, the Wing is a WM6 device and I don't know
if it would work with the iPAQ 4700 series as I believe they are WM2003SE
devices. I do have an iPAQ hx2415 but PI runs from RAM on that device.
It may be that PI works with the Wing because of the way WM5/6 use memory
compared to earlier versions.

Unless I am mistaken, you are putting the application on the SD card. I have
no reason to think that wouldn't work. I'm just saying the 'data' PI uses,
the actual contacts, calendar items, etc. are the same items stored by the
system PIM DB(s) in main RAM. You can't change that...where the system
stores contacts and such. I gathered jago was talking about the data itself.

Gotcha! You're exactly right and it is just the application that I put on
the SD card. PI, as you stated before, is basically just an interface to the
PIM data that can not reside on the card.
Re-reading his original question in Spanish, you're right that he was asking
about the data (datos), so your response was correct.
Thanks for clearing this up!
