Hi everyone, I have a Motorola Q phone running Windows Mobile 6. I
also have several .RTF files that I'd like to sync with my phone and
be able to edit/save on my phone. Is there a freeware application that
I can install on the Windows Mobile device to do this? I don't want to
convert the .RTF files to something else and I don't want to lose the
formatting in the .RTF files. Thanks everyone!

Gus

word mobile _should_ be able to open rtf files (pocket word is/was rtf)

you may have to set a file association to work if the extensions are not
..doc

you may also need to save them specifically as rtf files.

Is Word Mobile included for free with Windows Mobile 6 like Wordpad is
a free component of Windows? I saw that Microsoft Office Mobile sells
for $50. This is overkill for just an RTF editor. I'm basically
looking for a freeware application that can read, edit, and save
simple RTF files like Wordpad does on Windows.

Yes, Office Mobile is included with WM6. They might sell a version for
older devices (like WM5 Smartphones without touchscreens) that did not
include Office Mobile. (Touchscreen devices generally always included it.)

For a freeware basic text editor (not .rtf) Tillanosoft's Pocket Notepad is
a great app.
