I just bought a new Windows Mobile 6 unit (HPC PPC 6800) and wonder if
anyone knows if any of the following (worked on my older Windows Mobile 5
unit) work on it:

Microsoft Reader
eReader Pro
Mobipocket

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

Can't speak for the others but as long as the device has a valid OEMInfo.xml
file in the \windows directory Microsoft Reader should work just fine.

Sincerely,
Christine - Microsoft Reader Team

Just a thought as I've only bought a very few books in MS Reader format, as
I'm no longer seeing much about it, I have to wonder if it's about to
die....obviously I don't want to have a large library of books using a
format no longer available. At this point, I'm only purchasing new books
using eReader as they seem more likely to continue, being available for so
many platforms.

Thanks,
Tim

I just bought Samsung WM6 i760 and want to load MSReader but saw note saying
won't work on smartphones microsoft.com/reader. I have MSReader books I want
to port to new smartphone. What ver should I load? and what files, you refer

Thanks,

>> Samsung WM6 i760 <<

This is not a smartphone but rather a pocketpc phone edition so reader
should work.

The identification point is a stylus... if the WM device can accept
screen input, it is a pocketpc, if not, it is a smartphone.

I just tried to install MS Reader on my Motorola Q with WM6.

I get the following error message

Microsoft Reader does not support the connected device type. Application
Manager will make the application available for installation whe a supported
devcie type is connected.

HELP
