Hi -
Looking for a resolution to something that's been bugging me for a few weeks
now. I usually spend some time rooting around to see if I can solve it
myself but this one has me stumped.
I have a cable modem connected to a switch -->to a wireless Vonage router
--> to a BIX block which runs my CAT5e through the house. In the office I
have a Linksys wireless hooked up. SO, here is the issue:
All the laptops are running fine. I can move throughout the house and they
will pick up the best signal available between the Motorola and the Linksys.
However, my desktop (which has a wireless connection) keeps giving me a
"Accessing Newtork" message and never connects. If, however, I connect the
desktop directly to the Linksys, no problem. Everything is set up on the
same SSID and I am using WPA-TKIP.
I have checked the SSID and the WPA. I have also tried to connect the modem
to the Motorola then to the Linksys. The DHCP on the Linksys is disabled in
the current config. I have tried it the other way as well.
Any suggestions?
