Does anyone know why MS Voice Command is not compatible with the new HTC
Mobile 6 devices such as the AT&T Tilt and HTC Touch?

Not familiar with voice commander 2; is that voice recognition software for
placing calls, looking up contacts, etc.?

Installed Voice Command 1.6 on my ATT Tilt and it works just fine. I
originally reset the camera button to activate it, as I have the non-camera
version.

I did find the instructions on how to add the PTT button to the button
assignment control panel and have VC launched by that now...as I don't use
PTT either, and Push To Talk makes more sense than camera anyway. Also works
from my BT headset, initiate, answer, etc.

Are you having trouble installing it, or it installed but doesn't run?

Couldn't install. Everything works fine on the 8125 devices.

I got Voice Command installed on the Tilt but can't get the BT handset to
initiate any commands. It's gives me the start talking sound, but it's like
it doesn't hear me speaking. It works fine if I initiate from a Pocket PC
button. Any suggestions?

Never mind; a soft rebot fixed it. Sorry.

yes - its in the new htc touch phones AND works well with bluetooth headset
IF one uses Outlook 2007 to get sync with contacts setup.- it uses a look up
table for the contacts in conjunction with a few key words and short
phrases.

Glad that helped. Happened to me too. I fixed it by assigned PTT as the
button to initiate...which involved a soft reset Smile

Hi: How do you reset the button? I just got the tilt with the camera
version. How do I reset the PTT button for voice command 1.6? I appreciate
your help.

Thanks.

You need a registry editor and follow the steps at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1577293&postcount=12

What that actually does is add the PTT button (and PTT(hold) if you want) to
the list of things you can change in the standard button remapping control
panel.

I was getting error "install was unsuccessful" on my AT&T Tilt when I tried
to install MS Voice Command 1.6. Not sure when I purchased the software,
probably early 2007. It worked fine on my HP 6515. Paid for and downloaded
another copy from Handango tonight and it installed fine.

KBuc,

I installed it with no troubles on my new Tilt. Though the voice
recognition has not been perfect. I have to work with it more.
