Hello,

Anyone know how to have WM5.0 cache network credentials to be persistent
accross sleep mode?

Symptom: HH has access to and can browse network share>HH enters sleep mode>User
input wakes HH>User has to re-enter network credentials to access network
share even though the "save password" box is checked.

Any ideas anyone?

TIA,
drud

Let me try and rephrase this question:

Hello,

How can PPC2003 connect to a 2K3 server fileshare via file explorer \\server\share
and store the password?

Even when you are prompted for credentials and supply them, and check the
"save password" box, the next time you access the share (after a suspend/resume,
let's say) you are re-prompted for credentials again?

I found an arcane reference to SMB tokens and limitations of the communications
stack on the PPC2003 (or WM5.0) or is it due to security settings and group
policy on the server?

Is this a Server Networking/group policy or Windows Mobile question? From
what I can tell it fits all three categories equally.

TIA,
drud
