Cannot synchronise Office 2007 contacts with my PDA (or Office 2007 anything)

I have just rebuilt my PC and installed the ‘Windows Mobile Device Centre’
and all it will let me do is sync ‘Files’ and ‘Mobile Favourites’.

All the other options/checkboxes in the ‘Change content sync settings’ page
are disabled.

Apparently this is because my WM5 mobile device is not communicating with
Office 2007.

The question is why not?

Have tried:
fixmapi.exe,

Uninstalling WMDC, cleaning registry, deleteing all partnerships, re-booting
and re-installing fresh download of WMDC 6.1 with all anti-virus/spyware
disabled,

Running Office 2007 diagnostics,

Turning off firewall.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Regards
Richard

Hi,
Did you try installing the optional USB drivers for WMDC?

No but do I need to? (If so where do I get these optional updates from?)

After all I can sync 'Files' & 'Mobile Favourites’ through the USB port.

Interestingly, my Apple iPod is having no such problems in sync'ing my
contacts.
