Can't sync anymore "usb unknown"

Hello,

I have a Dell Axim x51v (bought in 2006 - with Windows XP SP2 + Office XP
Pro SP3 + ActiveSync 4.2) which I can't sync with my pc anymore because
everytime I put my Axim on my docking station it says unknown usb
peripheral. I also tried on another pc with the same configuration but I
still get the same problem.

What can I do to resolve the issue ?

Redan,

I had the same problem, but only at work. Turns out the USB cable was
making a poor connection at the device end, I don't usa a docking station
with my Mogul. I suggest you check the connection.

If Cleve's suggestion doesn't work...

suggest deleting the ppc from device manager under usb devices

disconnect

reboot the sync pc

soft reset the ppc

on the next connect the usb connection information essentially starts
fresh...
