Hi,

Does anybody know about a software that permit to read or convert PDF
file for easy reading ?

Indeed, I have some PDF files but it's impossible to read them easily
through my WIndows mobile 5.

Thank you

First, the whole concept of pdf is to prevent any document manipulation,
so you have three strikes against you before you begin.

You didn't clarify, but I'm assuming;

you have a pocketpc and not a smartphone

you are using adobe's ppc reader

you are referring to the need to "horizontally scroll" every line

you have already tap/hold the document screen and "reflow" is greyed out.

If so, the document either does not have "accessibility tags" _or_ what
you are reading is not text, but an image of text... for example, a pdf
of a faxed document.

The sync process on the pc used to install ppc reader will _attempt_ to
add tags to any pdf files which are synced to your device. You can also
use "full" acrobat to try to add tags to a document using
advanced/accessibility/makeaccessible but this depends on the document
protection and will fail if there are _any_ tags anywhere in the document.

I have many tech PDF manuals and have tried many different ways to read
them.
I finally settled on the RepliGo system from cerience.com.

They basically have three programs.
Viewer - Used to view the document on your pda
Desktop - Converts Word, Excel, HTML and some PDF's to RepliGo format.
Mobilizer - Converts PDF's to RepliGo format. I have never found a PDF it
could not convert.

I would recommend the Desktop at about $45. The viewer is free.
If the desktop can not convert a specific PDF talk to tech support they will
sometimes give you a deal
on Mobilizer which is normally about $95.

I like RepliGo for the following reasons.
I have somewhat bad eye's and the ability to zoom as necessary is
outstanding.
For pure text it can also flow a document.
Many of my manuals have no index and are password locked by the mfg. I can
create my own index points.
In a 700 page manual this makes going to a specific part of the manual easy.

Try Mobipocket Reader. Drag and drop the PDF and it gets formated,
converted and downloaded to your pocket PC in one action.
