Microsoft has not announced any plans to make this possible. Until
they di, you will need to load Outlook on your PC to be able to sync.

There's no word from MS that you'll ever be able to do that, much less a
timetable for when, sorry.

Kind of makes Outlook that much more of an option now, doesn't it... Wink

Problem is the T-Mobile MDA VarioII came with a version (with key) of
outlook. But its the 2003 version not supported fully by Vista; it wont
remember account passwords, such a pain!

I think you meant the 2002 version. '03 works with Vista.

I'm in the same boat (Outlook 2k2) but haven't upgraded to Vista yet. (For
a variety of reasons including that.)

As a temporary fix, you might consider a free Exchange account with
mail2web.com. That will give you an offsite backup for your device's PIM
data, as well as allow you to access the info on your Vista PC via OWA
(Outlook Web Access.) Not as good as the real thing, but it works.

Alternatively, can you still sync to 2k2 on a Vista PC for contacts and
calendar (which shouldn't need stored passwords) and use Mail for e-mail
(without the ability to synch mail, of course.)
